New Years Eve 2014



Welcome in the New Year in Palmerston North with some truly awesome acts. This year by popular demand we are bringing back to Palmy - Shaun Preston - NZ’s No.1 Piano Showman - It’s no wonder this man is the “talk of the town” in the entertainment industry, if you have been to one of Shaun Preston’s shows then there’s a very high chance you went home feeling blown away, inspired, moved and wanting more. Over the past 14 years now, Shaun has taken his show to an audience of thousands not only in New Zealand but all over the world including Australia, America, Hawaii, France and the UK. Shaun’s public shows are a must see as he tends to always be heavily booked with private shows. From the dazzling stage setting and tear jerking Marilyn Monroe tribute, to Shaun’s energetic & captivating stage presence, Shaun will have you singing along even if you hadn’t planned on it! A show not to be missed!

Also back to Palmy's New Year celebrations by popular demand is local group Smokey Feel. Smokey Feel is a six-piece band that specialises in giving their audience a rocking good time. “Our music has been described, as Roots, Rock and Harmony, and we know we will entice you to dance the night away with our infectious music.” The band has been playing together for over 10 years and has won the national corporate Battle of the bands, featured on Maori TV and TV1 and built up a loyal fan base across the country. Their five Song EP of original sounds is on iTunes and is sure to delight all listeners with their close harmony work and musical styles.

Especially for the kids we have The KaRs - They have achieved much success with their educational album and are heard regularly on radio shows across the country teaching kids and adults alike the principles of manners, respect and hygiene. The KaRs will be bringing their unique style of comedy, fresh tunes and charm to entertain the audience both young and old with special guests adding spice to their musical mix.

Catch the coolest "kids’ countdown" at approximately 9:30 p.m. There will be a few surprises to give the kids that special feeling of 2015 approaching.
